Please help me get nomination signatures!

March 31-April 1: Office openings / Nomination signatures

We expect the election to be certified this Friday, March 30, so this weekend I’ll start collecting nomination signatures to get on the ballot. Please help me collect those signatures and begin identifying the thousands of voters who we’ll need to get to the polls on election day!

Saturday, March 31: Canvass shifts at 11am-1pm, 1-3pm, and 3-5pm
Sunday, April 1: Canvass shifts from 12-2pm and 2-4pm and phone banking from 5-8

Please sign up for a shift here!

We’ll be opening campaign offices in Jefferson, Watertown, and Beaver Dam this weekend, and I’ll stop in to all three of them.

Jefferson Office at 320 South Wisconsin Drive
I’ll be there for the 10:00 a.m. office opening on Saturday and again at 5pm on Sunday to gather up the last of the weekend’s signatures and kick off the first official phone bank of the campaign.

Watertown Office at 408 E. Main Street
I’ll be there for the 11am canvass on Saturday and the 2pm canvass Sunday.

Beaver Dam Office at 116 Monroe Street
I’ll be there for the 1pm canvass on Saturday and the noon canvass on Sunday.

I hope we can get lots of volunteers to show up at the offices to help me get the signatures I need to get on the ballot. Please sign up for a shift to help me out!

… and more locations!
Satellite groups will be going out in Columbus, Juneau, Mayville, Deerfield, Cambridge, Lake Mills and Oconomowoc at various times over the weekend. For more information on staging locations and times please email Anne Johnson at

Kick-off party!

The Campaign Kick-Off Party in Columbus was a great success. Hundreds of people attended the party, and we had around 100 people come early to learn about volunteering for the campaign!

My heartfelt thanks go out to everyone who donated their time and money to make this event a success.

Speaking at Capitol rally

Lori spoke at the Capitol today in front of tens of thousands of Wisconsinites about the need for change in our state. Excerpts from her speech (link to full speech):

“This winter we rose up in the cities and the small towns and the farms, and we worked patiently, persistently, peacefully. …The beauty of that work, especially for those of us in the small towns and out in the countryside, is that it’s shown us that we aren’t alone. It’s shown us that people all over this state share our concerns, and these aren’t Democrats’ issues or Republicans’ issues. They’re the concerns of ordinary people who want a decent life for themselves and those they love.”

Beaver Dam listening session

Lori’s first listening session was a great success. Over 125 people attended in Beaver Dam and voiced their views on topics ranging from economic development and tax reform to the new voter ID law and charter schools. After the listening sessions are complete, we will be summarizing the issues that were identified across the 13th Senate District.
